6. Technical Services Network: Contractor Specialty Services

“One of the most pressing issues facing forested properties today is the risk of wildfires. With climate change exacerbating drought conditions and increasing temperatures, the threat of wildfires is higher than ever. However, by implementing sustainable forest management practices such as thinning, patch-cutting, and creating fire breaks, we can significantly reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires on your land.”

How We Work For You

“Sustainable forest management creates and maintains vital wildlife habitat, providing refuge for rare species and enhances biodiversity. By implementing conservation measures such as leaving wildlife corridors and protecting sensitive areas, we can support a healthy ecosystem on your property and contribute to the preservation of rare and endangered species: all while financially benefiting from the forest at each harvest interval.”

Specialty Plantations and Arboretum Development

2025 goals for International Research Teaching Forests Incorporated include the establishment and monitoring of several small orchards of Nut, Fruit, Maple & Birch, and a small Christmas Tree Stand in Glendale, Nova Scotia Canada.

Further aspiration is to model from Cornell University, New York State, USA’s operation by developing an arboretum available for viewing by future educational tour participants.

Wood-Fired Maple & Birch Syrup Production operations are planned for demonstration and product development in Glendale. In addition, research on specialized production  equipment can take place on a project-by-project basis. Planned partnership and collaborative activity with Cornell Universitiy Maple Research Field Stations  and Proctor Maple Research Center, in New York and Vermont USA respectively, can open possibilites of monitoring sites for specific projects in two different regions – leading to climate change information that is valuable to the Maple Syrup Industry as a whole.
