“Accessible Forests for All.”
“Research Together for Forests Forever.”
International Research Teaching Forests Incorporated demonstrates the use of Forests to stimulate innovation and contribute to social, environmental, and economic sustainability in rural communities.
To achieve this purpose, a dedicated Forest is established as an “outdoor classroom in a natural environment.” The corporate goal is to create a fully accessible space for community members- children and adults, research scientists, businesses, and interested groups and associations to come together to explore and realize benefits derived from the Forest.
Through establishing together an “International Non-Timber Forest Applied Research & Development Cluster” the work toward new Forest discoveries in Glendale, Nova Scotia, Canada is realized.
The company is able to provide a mentorship framework to encourage livelihood within the Forest and support a life-long relationship between learners and the natural world: nurturing an attitude of curiosity and respect for the Forest.
The objective of Forest Work mentorship is to develop skills through creative learning that focus on firm foundations for continued personal and professional well-being and development.
On a project-by-project basis, International Research Teaching Forests Incorporated plans to create learner-centered processes and experiential adventures.
These Eco-Edu Tourism experiences are designed to further health promotion and inclusivity and serve the identified diverse needs of community members and their businesses- building a community designed for development, learning, growth, and prosperity.
