Program Participant Data Privacy
Most uses of IRTF website users and site program participant’s information are necessary for the operation of IRTF Incorporated. – i.e., to deliver and improve core services to you and to meet reporting obligations to government or other stakeholders. Because of this, you cannot opt out of the collection of this information, nor can you opt out of those essential uses and disclosures.
Mailing Lists & Forms
This website includes forms that allow you to contact us, join our mailing lists, sign up for newsletters, sign up to receive text message alerts, participate in online or text surveys, promotions, or contests, purchase products or services from us, and register for events, or otherwise contact us. The information we collect may include your name, address, telephone number, mobile telephone number, email, address, age, gender, and photo/image. You may be required to provide certain information to create an online account for certain promotions. Only authorized IRTF Incorporated staff can access the information provided in these forms, and the information you provide will only be used for the purposes described above.
In the future, IRTF Incorporated may require a username or password to access certain parts of the IRTF Incorporated site. You are responsible for all actions taken with your
username or password. Do not disclose your username or password to any third parties and change your password regularly.

Any information that you may disclose in blogs, on message boards, in chat rooms, on our social media pages, or on other public areas, becomes public information and is subject to any terms posted on those pages. Please exercise caution when disclosing personal information in these public areas.

Information Gathered and Cookies
When you visit our website, we automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address which provides us with information about your browser and device. We do not link IP addresses to any personally identifiable information. Logs of IP addresses are retained on a temporary basis on our web server accessible only to system administrators.

It helps us to optimize advertising campaigns, build audiences for future ads, and remarket to people who have already interacted with our website. LinkedIn Insight Tag
Our website contains the LinkedIn Insight Tag which is a piece of lightweight JavaScript code that enables in-depth campaign reporting and helps us unlock valuable insights about our website visitors. We use the LinkedIn Tag to track conversions, retarget website visitors, and unlock additional insights about members interacting with our LinkedIn adverts.
LinkedIn does not share any personally identifiable information with us. The LinkedIn Insight Tag enables the collection of metadata such as IP address information, timestamps, and events such as page views. All data is encrypted. The LinkedIn browser cookie is stored in a visitor’s browser until they delete the cookie, or the cookie expires (there’s a rolling six-month expiration from the last time the visitor browser loaded the Insight Tag) LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal information for advertising purposes in their account settings.
Twitter Tracking Pixel
Our website contains the Twitter tracking pixel, which is a snippet of code that helps us learn whether you’ve interacted with certain web content. This helps us focus and optimize our Twitter advertising campaigns. If you do not want Twitter to show you interest-based ads on and off Twitter, there are several ways to turn off this feature. The terms of use agreement (the “Agreement”) governs your use of the collection of Web pages and other digital content (the “Collections”) available through International Research Teaching Forests Incorporated ( “IRTF”). Under no circumstances, including, without limitation, negligence, shall IRTF Incorporated or its parents, affiliates, officers, employees, or agents be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or in connection with the use of or the inability to use the Site, or any content contained on the Site, or resulting from unauthorized access to the website or your transmissions of data, including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, use, data, or other intangibles, even if IRTF has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.
This Agreement, the Privacy Policy, and other policies posted on the Site constitute the full and complete agreement between you and International Research Teaching Forests Incorporated and the associated website and are not intended to inure to third-party beneficiaries.
